Local roads has gotten even busier since the hurricanes hit south Louisiana. Major projects are going on throughout the city. In particular, the always jammed Airline Highway is being widened to three lanes. This is long overdue and should help things quite a bit on this busy roadway. Before the hurricane, a drive took certain time to complete. Now, you and add 15, 25 or more minutes to those drives and commutes to school and work. If there's a wreck, then you can forget getting anywhere quickly for the most part. The city officials are to be given credit for hard work being done to improve the situation. The removal of several lights along Florida Blvd. was a good idea to help things move better down this congested road. Here's hoping that things continue to get better.
