I've gotten huge helpings on their catfish dinners and they were very good. I also like to get their blackend shrimp and dip them in the buttery sauce. That is excellent. Take you pick here. You can't go wrong at Brunet's. It's a good place to experience Baton Rouge seafood. Buddy's Seafood 2106 Oneal Ln, Baton Rouge, LA 70816 (225) 751-7349 *** REVIEW*** This place is popular. I've eaten there once and it was good. It's not very fancy, a very basic place good for a lunch crowd. It's a good place for Baton Rouge seafood restaurants. Cafe Lagrange 9106 Cockerham Rd., Denham Springs, LA 70727 (225) 664-9537 Cajun Cafe and Seafood 6401 Bluebonnet Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA (225) 759-2220 Chimes Restaurant & Oyster Bar 3357 Highland Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70802 (225) 383-1754 *** REVIEW*** An LSU tradition is what this place is. It's always got a big crowd for lunch. It's got all kinds of different beers to drink. It's a nice atmosphere as well and right in the middle of all the action right off the campus gates. It is a favorite among the hip crowd seeking out Baton Rouge seafood restaurants. City Cafe 4710 O'Neal Lane Baton Rouge, LA 70817 (225) 753-4420***Review*** This is a favorite place for me and my family. It has a nice atmosphere. There's a bar area in the middle as you go in with seating to the right with big screen and High Definition TV's spread throughout this seating area. We like to sit here even though it's the smoking section. I like to watch the sports on TV and my son likes to walk over to the corner to play the video games. If it's a quieter experience you seek then the non-smoking section to the left when you come in gives you no TV's and a more elegant atmosphere. The food is always good. I get the filet steaks quite often. I've also had a catfish diiner, very good with a big serving. They have great poboys which my wife gets often. We love the spinach and artichoke dip. The kids will usually get a kids meal of either catfish and fries or fried shrimp and french fries. City Cafe on O'Neal is one of our favorite dining places for all kinds of Baton Rouge seafood. There is a Perkins Road location for City Cafe and it is one of the better Baton Rouge seafood restaurants.
